California Foreclosure Listings

Everyone is familiar with the state of California. It is the land of dreams and movies and the Golden Gate Bridge. It is also the place with the most issues on foreclosure. The biggest cities that are located in the state of California are the cities of Los Angeles, San Diego and of course San Jose.

California Foreclosure Listings Some of the advantages of living in California foreclosure listings obviously are the climate, which is great the year around. You have good proximity to the ocean so you can enjoy the water sports and you are close to Las Vegas so you can enjoy the gambling there and if you enjoy travel the border to Mexico may offer some excitement for you.

The state offers everything from mountains to deserts and anything that you might want hat would fall in between those two making it a great state to consider for purchasing a home. However the cost of living is fairly high as is the average wage making it an expensive place to live.

Buying a foreclosure here in this state can be a rather lengthy process often taking well in excess of 111 days to complete the movement through the system once it has begun. The bad economic climate in the state makes foreclosures a tough nut to crack. The properties have lost so much value that it is rare to find a foreclosure property that is not well under water and worth much less than is owed on it.

However, that one fact also means that once you find a foreclosure you are likely to get a great buy and be able to make money once the market turns around.

The non-judicial method is the most common form of foreclosure although if using the judicial method the right of redemption and ability to obtain a deficiency judgement is offered.

Once the borrower defaults on making a mortgage payment a notice of default is made and the borrower is sent a copy within ten days. The borrower then has 90 days to cure that default or the lender can then sell the property at anytime after 21 days has passed.
